WATSONVILLE — A 30 year-old Aromas woman was arrested about 12:30 a.m. today after she drove south on northbound Highway 1, the CHP reported.
No one was injured in the incident, and a CHP officer pulled her over just south of Green Valley Road after nine drivers called 911, said CHP spokeswoman Sarah Jackson.
Heidi Wilder was driving a gray Ford pickup, the CHP said. Officials say she was tested for alcohol impairment and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and booked into County Jail, Jackson said.
“Officers were able to catch up to her within 4 minutes, avoiding what could have been a very serious collision. We would like to thank everyone who called in,” Jackson said.
The CHP asks drivers who spot intoxicated drivers to call 911.
