KNOXVILLE — Tennessee quarterback Doak Raulston has been indefinitely suspended, one day after he was arrested Saturday morning on charges of driving under the influence.

According to WVLT, Raulston, currently sitting out the season due to NCAA rules after transferring from Louisiana Tech, was stopped for driving while impaired and violating the implied consent law.

WVLT also reported Raulston posted a $1,000 bond and is due to appear in Knox County Sessions Court on Monday. Requests for more information on the arrest by the News Sentinel from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office have not yet been granted, but with his case pending, Raulston won’t be allowed to participate in team activities.

“I talked to him, and he’s been suspended from the team,” UT coach Derek Dooley said during his Sunday teleconference. “I’m disappointed in the decision he made, that’s a serious, serious risk that you take when you get behind the wheel impaired. I’m disappointed in him and I know he’s embarrassed, he’s hurt his family and he’s hurt our program. He’ll have to pay some consequences.
