During a Drive Hammered, Get Nailed enforcement campaign conducted Nov. 25-Jan. 2., 155 drivers were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, according to a news release from the Washington Traffic Safety Commission.
Also according to the commission:
Statewide, law enforcement officers arrested 3,577 drivers on suspicion of DUI.
In Thurston County, the Lacey, Olympia, Tenino, Tumwater and Yelm police departments, the Sheriff’s Office and the Washington State Patrol participated in the extra-emphasis patrols, with the support of Target Zero Thurston. The extra patrols were funded by a grant from the Traffic Safety Commission.
