PLEASANTON — Police are holding a sobriety and drivers’ license checkpoint Thursday night.
The location of the checkpoint was not disclosed, but police said it will take place from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. on a roadway with an established DUI problem.
Drivers approaching the area will see signs letting them know a checkpoint is ahead. Officers will check drivers for signs of impaired driving and inspect their drivers’ licenses.
Funding for the checkpoint is provided by the a grant from the state Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
