University of Kansas football player Chris Omigie is expected to appear in court next week after his weekend arrest on a drunken driving charge. The 19-year-old was
released on a $500 bond after being stopped by police early Saturday morning.
Omigie posted a $500 bond. He is to appear in Lawrence Municipal Court on Feb. 16.
For now, Omigie is still a member of the Kansas football team, according to Kansas associate director Jim Marchiony.
The Arlington, Texas native played in 10 games last season as a redshirt freshman wide receiver.
