NEW MILFORD — When a Danbury man crashed his car into a tree on Still Rive Drive in New Milford, the accident brought a drunken driving arrest for him.
Damian Esposito, 36, of Smith Street, Danbury, was traveling west bound on Still River Drive at approximately 11:45 p.m. Dec. 30 when his car traveled to the left should of the road and struck a tree, police said.
Officers arriving on the scene found Esposito to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, according to the report. Officers said Esposito failed a subsequent field sobriety test.
Esposito was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol and failure to drive right. He was released on a written promise to appear with a court date of Jan. 10.
