Davis holiday DUI crackdown nabs six motorists

A drunken driving crackdown netted a half-dozen arrests in Yolo County in the 48 hours through midnight Saturday, the Davis Police Department reported today.

Sgt. Rod Rifredi of the Davis Police Department said the number of arrests could grow larger as additional reports come in from the eight law enforcement agencies participating in the crackdown.

DUI arrests and data collection are planned to continue through New Year’s weekend, until midnight Sunday, Jan. 2.

Funding for the program is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety via the National Highway traffic Safety Administration.
